Brian Ashby
Iron Mike's Family Fitness is hosting "Burn it Up for Brian," a fundraiser event for Brian Ashby and his family. The local logger was recently diagnosed with cancer, already in an advanced stage.

"Let's support and love on this family financially with this fundraiser and help them pay for treatments and hospital bills," fundraiser organizers said.

"Burn it Up for Brian" takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, October 27, and here's just some of the ways you can get fit and benefit Brian:
  • Reserve a spin bike for $10 and get the whole community on board, sponsoring to pledge for every mile you ride during the class or giving lump sum. The high average mileage per class is 16 miles.
  • There are four spin classes available; 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon. You can reserve one class or participate in all four. The sign in sheet is at the gym, there are 35 bikes available per class.
  • 100% of the proceeds go to Brian Ashby's family!
  • Iron Mike's is waiving the $7 walk-in fee for this event, and also any new gym membership registration fee from now until October 27.

Iron Mike will pay the walk in fees and start up fees for joining the gym to the account for Ashby family.

Let's fill up these classes for the Ashbys and have fun burning those miles for Brian!

Iron Mike's Family Fitness is at 64450 Highway 2 at Three Mile Corner, just north of Bonners Ferry. To learn more, call (208) 267-5299.
