An international Christmas Festival coming

November 23, 2018
Bonners Ferry International Orchestra
The Pearl Theater and Novinger Music Center present the Bonners Ferry International Orchestra for its annual holiday concert, A Christmas Festival, at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 2 at Bonners Ferry High School’s Becker Auditorium.

According to Director Glenda Novinger, the orchestra supplanted its traditional "community" moniker with “international” this year, recognizing a number of Canadian members and growing Montana/Sandpoint contingents, musicians who travel significant distances from outside the county to participate in Bonners Ferry’s growing orchestra.

The afternoon performance will include the following arrangements: A Bach Christmas, adapted and arranged by Susan Christiansen; Warrior Legacy, by Soon Hee Newbold; William Tell Overture, by G. Rossini, arranged by Jerry Lehrmeier; A Festival Prelude, by Alfred Reed; and finally, A Christmas Festival, by Leroy Anderson.

As always, individuals and small groups will also perform throughout the program.

While the performance is free to the public, audience donations are gratefully accepted at the door. For more information on the orchestra or Novinger Music Center, please contact Glenda Novinger at (208) 597-1118.

The Pearl Theater is a non-profit organization, dedicated to fostering the performing arts throughout Boundary County. For more information or for membership, give them a call (208) 610-2846 or visit their website www.thepearltheater.org.
