25th annual Santa Parade coming to Creston

It’s that time of year again for the 25th Annual Santa Claus Parade and Winter Festival organized by the Town of Creston and the Regional District Central Kootenay, with the main event taking place Saturday, December 15. A whole day of complementary activities are happening in the Creston Valley, and there is something for everyone!

You can get an early start on the fun from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, December 14, with the Juice FM Holiday Jam in Spirit Square.

Then on Saturday, there's the Christmas Craft Fair at the Masonic Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Creston Valley Farmers’ Market at Creston and District Community Complex (CDCC), from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., free children’s Christmas crafts and free gingerbread man decorating at CDCC hosted by the Creston Museum from noon to 2 p.m.,
12pm - 2pm: free gingerbread man decorating at CDCC, the Gift For you customer appreciation Event at Vance BrandSource Home Furnishings from 1 to 5 p.m. and more.

You can get Santa Pictures at Casey’s Community House from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., and the Santa Claus Parade starts at 5 p.m. downtown on Canyon Street from 16th to 10th Avenue. There'll be free hot dogs and hot chocolate around the bonfire in Spirit Square and you can top the day off with a hockey game as the Creston Valley Thunder Cats Game take on the Nelson Leafs at 7:30 p.m.
