Snow advisory in effect through Monday morning

January 6, 2019
The National Weather Service, Spokane, has issued a winter weather advisory for North Idaho for snow, in effect from 4 p.m. today to 10 a.m. Monday.

Total accumulations of one to three inches of new snow are expected in the valleys, three to five inches over Lookout Pass, which is at 4,711-foot elevation, and four to eight inches could fall at higher elevations.

This snowfall could make driving conditions dangerous, with sick roads and limited visibility, and could also weigh down and topple trees, potentially causing power outages.
