Athol girl missing since Thursday

UPDATE: BROOKLYN BRUNKE FOUND SAFE IN SANDPOINT EARLY TUESDAY MORNING, JANUARY 8 !!

A 16-year-old Athol girl has been missing since Thursday night, January 3, and is listed by the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office as a runaway. Her family reports that there have been no contacts or leads as to where Brooklyn may be.

If nothing changes, she will be listed as a missing person this afternoon.

According to her mother, who posted a plea for information this morning on Facebook, Brooklyn left in the middle of the night, taking absolutely nothing with her.

"She left behind her cell phone, wallet, back pack, everything," her mother wrote. "So far, not one lead as to where she may be. She hasn't been on any social media accounts since Thursday at 10 p.m.

Brooklyn Rose Brunke is 16 years old, 5'7" tall and weighs roughly 135 pounds. She has strawberry blonde hair.
