Advisory issued for (gasp!) more snow

January 9, 2019
The National Weather Service, Spokane, has issued a winter weather advisory for, of all things, snow, primarily in Boundary County and northern Bonner County, in effect until 6 a.m. Thursday.

An additional one to three inches of white stuff is possible in the valleys overnight, with four to seven inches expected at higher elevations. Light scattered snow showers are possible through the evening hours, but they're expected to gain in intensity over night.

The advisory is mainly north of Sandpoint to the Canadian border.

Expect slick road conditions and limited visibility, particularly for the morning commute. With the snow already fallen, trees could give way, causing possible power outages.
