Harry W. Copley, 76, Anaconda, Montana, passed away due to complications of lung cancer on December 25, 2018. There will be a family memorial for him at a later date.

Harry was born January 2, 1942, in Sandpoint, the son of Leo and Hazel Copley.

Harry attended high school in Sandpoint until he was 18 and then joined the U.S. Navy. He was stationed on the USS Frontier, where he was a cook and a baker.

After serving four years in the Navy, Harry pursued a career in the food business and spent many years cooking and baking in Idaho, Utah and Montana. He was the chef at Deep Creek for three years near Naples and earlier worked as a baker for Wonder Bread Bakery in Ogden, Utah.

Harry’s passion in life was fishing, and his brothers would jokingly say Harry could catch a fish in a mud puddle. He also loved hunting and being outdoors.

Harry was preceded in death by his wife Darlene, his son Richard Copley and brother Doug Copley.

He is survived by his daughter Karen Wilson, Ogden, Utah, two grandchildren, five great grandchildren, brother Larry Copley and sister Linda Hayes, both of Bonners Ferry, and brother Dennis Copley of Centerville, Washington.
