Lady Badgers dropped by CdA Charter

Grace Villelli had 13 assists, Jerzie Pluid nine kills and four blocks and Leilani Ram came up with 13 digs, but it wasn't enough Thursday night.

The Badgers fell in three at Coeur d'Alene Charter, 25-23, 25-15, 25-8.

"We have our last home game Tuesday," said coach Kendra Maas, "and, well, right now it can go either way. If play like we have been then we could win. If we play like Thursday then we could fall short.

That last game will be Senior Night, with seniors and team leaders Maecie Liermann, Lelani Ram and Jerzie Pluid being honored on the occasion of their last ever home volleyball game.

The Badgers, 2-4 in league and 2-6 overall will host the Priest River Spartans, 3-3 in league and 4-4 on the season. C-Team and JV action begins at 5:30, varsity takes the floor at 7 p.m., hopefully with a huge hometown crowd to cheer them on.

The Badgers fell to Priest River, 3-1, September 20.

The Badgers end their regular season Thursday, October 11, with one more go at the league-leading Timberlake Tigers, with a 6-0 league record and a 9-2 season record.

In their first meeting September 25, the Badgers fell, 3-0.

The volleyball district championships begin next Tuesday, October 16, at Timberlake.
