Badger boys fall to Wallace

December 19, 2018
The Wallace Miners remain undefeated after beating the visiting Bonners Ferry Badgers Tuesday, 51-39.

Erick Brackenbusch put up 24 points for the Miners to lead all scorers and Zack Welsh added 17.

The Miners put up nine points in the first quarter while the Badgers put up five, but the Wallace defense held the Badgers to just two points in the second quarter while the offense put up 12 to put the Miners up 21-7 going into the locker room.

The Badgers scored 20 third quarter points to 17 by the Miners, and chipped away a little more in the final, outscoring the home team 20-17, but the effort was too little, too late.

Seth Bateman led the Badger effort with 13 points, Chris Durette 9, Ty Bateman put up 8, Dylan Hittle 6 and Dalin Foster scored three points. The loss puts the Badgers at 3-4 on the season.

The Badgers are in action at home Thursday against St. Maries, with the JV playing at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity hooking it up at 7 p.m.
